अमेरिकामा नेपाली सामाजिक अभियन्ताहरूको नाममा समर्पित दिवस (डे) सम्मान Exclusive: Nepali American are making their impact felt across many fields of American society and, amply, American government representatives are recognizing their contributions by dedicating a day in honor of their names.
So far, 4 distinguished Nepali-American are honored with a day dedicated to their names. First, prolific social entrepreneur Dr. Bishnu Maya Pariyar was honored by Kentucky State’s City of Louisville with ‘Dr. Bishnu Maya Pariyar Day’ on September 27, 2015. Second honor came as Social activist Luna Ranjit was honored by New York City with ‘Luna Ranjit Day’ on September 28, 2016. The recent, third and fourth honors came as social entreprenuer Nabaraj KC was honored by U.S. House of Representative Grace Meng with ‘Nabaraj KC Day’ on December 22, 2019 and veteran bold donor Arjun P. Mainali was honored by Town of Oyster Bay, New York with ‘World Blood Donor Arjun Mainali Day’ on December 22, 2019 respectively.
Our Nepali unique identity is in the making because people like them are shining. These honorees and so many other Nepalis are striding and excelling in many fields every single day and making us proud. Let’s applause them for their hard work, honesty, dedication and contributions to the society.
