VisitNepal2020 Campaign officially launched in New York


Exclusive: Nepal Government has officially launched VisitNepal2020 Campaign in New York City which is aiming to attract 2 million tourists in Nepal in 2020. During the campaign launching, former U.S.


Ambassador to Nepal, Scott DeLiSi was honored as Goodwill Ambassador of VisitNepal2020 Campaign.


H.E. Ambassador of Nepal to United States Dr. Arjun K. Karki, Permanent Representative of Nepal to UN H.E. Amrit B. Rai and Consul General of Nepal Pushparaj Bhattarai had lit the diyas jointly to the campaign.


In 2018, the number of international tourists arrival in Nepal was record high of 1.7 million. Nepal had allowed first foreign tourist Bill Tillman in 1949 by the Rana Regimo according to travel writer Mark Horel. By 1966, there were more than 6 thousands tourists arrived in Nepal.
