7th FIPNA Convention aspires to herald a new era for Nepali Indigenous Peoples in New York

New York- Many observers are hoping that ongoing 7th Convention of Federation of Indeginous Peoples of Nepal in America (FIPNA) will herald a new era for Nepali Indigenous Peoples in New York.


There are 93 delegates participating at the convention. Three Presidential candidates that vying for the coveted post are- current VP Raj Kumar Bista, former VP Mani Kumar Bangdel and Kirat Yakthum Chumlung USA former General Secretary Lok Chemjong.


New York City and American people have seen ever growing vibrant Nepali cultural fabric that has been woven under FIPNA and its 17 Indigenous member-organizations and 3 State Chapters. FIPNA has to re-invent itself to stay relevant even for coming years to lead new generation of Nepali Indigenous Peoples living in United States.
