Finally, the most awaited moment has come- Mr. Brugman and Ms. Pariyar met after 29 years at his school and home near Seattle on her birthday, December 19th. Dr. Pariyar was invited to Mr. Brugman’s school where he has been teaching for last 40 years. He introduced her to his cheerful students and faculty with enthusiasm as he recalled teaching her when she was just a 15 year old student in Manakamana and but who now travels around the world as motivational speaker and guest lecturer.

Dr. Pariyar was welcome by 700-students strong school with cheering ‘Namaste’ by students, faculty teachers and staffs. Dr. Pariyar taught and interacted with students from sophomores (grade 11), Seniors (grade 12) on Contemporary World Problems and curious grade 6 students after screening of a documentary on her life ‘Untouchable’.
It’s moment to reckon indeed.
