Exclusive — Edison, NJ — In a landmark moment for the Nepali diaspora in the United States, the Prabas Nepali Samparka Samiti America, also known as the Nepali Diaspora Relation Committee America, hosted its inaugural First Leadership Conference 2025 on November 21–22 in Edison, New Jersey. The two-day national gathering witnessed two historic milestones: the global launch of NepaliUSA.ORG, a new digital platform designed to connect diaspora communities worldwide, and the formal adoption of the New Jersey Declaration 2025, centered around the unifying motto: “Rebuilding Nepal. Connecting Nepali Diaspora.”


The conference concluded on November 22 with a leadership commitment pledge presented by President Deepak B. Sunuwar, alongside the unveiling of a long-term strategy focused on community strengthening, capacity building, and global collaboration.

Who’s Who of the First Leadership Conference


The First Leadership Conference was chaired by President Deepak B. Sunuwar, who presented a comprehensive set of agendas that were unanimously adopted by the delegates. Key agenda items included Organizational Structure Review, Diaspora Policy Direction, Communication and Public Messaging, Capacity Building and Leadership Training, Community Engagement Strategy, and the adoption of a Code of Conduct and Political Discipline, among others.

President Sunuwar also unveiled the organization’s online global platform, NepaliUSA.org, by officially activating the launch button during the conference. The platform was designed and developed by Advisor and IT professional Pradeep Pariyar Thapa.


The newly launched website features fundraising and crowdfunding capabilities, enabling supporters to donate easily through Apple Pay, Google Pay, and PayPal. In addition, the platform offers a membership-based group discussion forum, live blogging, event booking services, and a charitable e-shopping section, positioning it as a comprehensive digital hub for the Nepali diaspora.

Vice President Shanti Adhikari Gurung formally welcomed the delegates, setting a collaborative tone for the event, while Vice President Sammar B. Budhathiki underscored the significance of the conference in strengthening the organization’s mission, unity, and long-term strategic direction.


Treasurer Hari K. Pudasaini outlined innovative fundraising strategies to support upcoming charitable and humanitarian initiatives and expressed gratitude to the New Jersey State Chapter for co-hosting the conference alongside the Central Executive Committee.


Advisor and Chair of the Election Committee Pradeep Pariyar Thapa presented the New Jersey Declaration and the organization’s bylaws for adoption and signing, marking a major milestone in formalizing the organization’s operational and governance framework.


During the conference, Advisors Pradeep Pariyar Thapa, Dhani Ram Sapkota, and Rajesh Pandey were honored with traditional shawls in recognition of their contributions as Election Committee members for the organization’s First General Convention, which was held virtually on September 25, 2025.

• We, the members and representatives of the Nepali diaspora in the United States, convene in Edison, New Jersey, to celebrate the historic inception of Prabas Nepali Samparka Samiti America (Nepali Diaspora Relation Committee America) and to affirm our shared commitment to unity, harmony, volunteerism, community service, empowerment, and collective progress.
