Nepali-American director Bohara’s new film ‘Shree’ in theaters raving audiences

Happening: New York- Multi-talented Nepali-American film director, actor, lyricist Everest Surya Bohara’s seventh film ‘Shree’ has been released in Nepal with warm welcome from audiences. Director Bohara who earned his Master’s degree from an American university on Human Relations and International Business in 2011 has developed his interest in film making while he was a teen and debuted with the blockbuster film ‘Agni Pariksha’ in 1995 at the age of just 22. Ever since he has always been able to enthrall his audiences with his crowd-pulling films and heart-racing movie songs. Does your heart still beat for ‘Hamlai pani mayale hera parbati’ or ‘Ma ta marchhu ki kya ho thuli’? If yes, don’t wait to go to theaters for his next creation, ‘Shree’.

Director Everest Surya Bohara was born in Dailekh, Nepal on October 15, 1971. Pursuing his acting interest, he started his career as an actor in theater at the age of 17 in Kathmandu, capital city of Nepal.


He has made several social awareness tv infomercials, short films before debuting with blockbuster film ‘Agni Pariksha’ in 1995 at the age of just 22 which celebrated 51 days in theaters which is considered milestone in film industry. Remember, ‘Hamlai pani mayale hera parbati’ ? His another blockbuster film ‘Kanchha’ (1997) had achieved the same 51 days in theaters milestone.


After some hiatus and earning education degrees in United States, director Bohara directed a film ‘Mutu’ in 2012. In 2014, he directed ‘Thuli’ that had earned appreciation from audiences as they enjoyed popular song ‘Ma ta marchhu ki kya ho thuli’. More recently, prolific director Bohara has produced ‘Bhaire’ (2018) and ‘Hello Jindagi’ (2019) with equal penchant and wit that propelled him to produce another his brain child film, ‘Shree’ (2021).
