Nepali artists in New York City have paid their musical tribute to legendary Nepali singer Narayan Gopal (October 4, 1939-December 5, 1990). He is affectionately called ‘Swar Samrat’ and ‘Tragedy King’ as his songs are evergreen, popular among all generations of music listeners.
Wikipedia rightly portrays his contribution to Nepali music as saying, “He is cultural icon of Nepal” and “Narayan Gopal released 137 songs during his lifetime... Gopal is one of the most celebrated and influential musicians of the 20th century...”
We all love him and his immortal songs.
