Box Food Program, Partnering with GrowNYC, United Sherpa Association is holding Food Distribution Program on April 15, 2020. Funding provided by Council Member Daniel Dromm will provide 300 boxes of groceries to be distributed.

Each box will contain:

* 6 apples

* 2 oranges

* 2.5 lbs of sweet potatoes

* 3 lbs of onions

* 1 head of romaine lettuce

* 1 bunch of cilantro

* 1 32-oz container of shelf-stable milk

* 1 1-lb bag of white rice

* 1 14-oz bag of red kidney beans

This Wednesday will be the first grocery distribution event. The distribution time is from 1:30 pm to- 3 pm at our community center located at 41-01 75th Street.

The distribution will be conducted on the first come first serve basis.

All the food receivers are expected to maintain the minimum social distance of 6 feet apart.

Please let our community members know about this event. Since it’s our first experience hosting the event, I would like to request for your valuable suggestions.
