Nepali Social Activist Ang Kami Sherpa receives Taiwan's National Award

Nepali Social Activist Ang Kami Sherpa has been honored with Taiwan's National Award for his work towards orphanage children in Nepal and his resccue work for hundreds of Nepalis in Middle East. He lived in New York City for 19 years before Nepali community bid him farewell to New York's most beloved son of Nepal, Ang Kami Sherpa in 2017.


A Well-known Nepali photographer in New York City, he was born in Okhaldhunga, Nepal. He came to USA in 1998. He was first Nepali Cyclist who won 55 km uphill 7th Annapurana Triathlon on March 30, 1996 in 2:03 minutes and won second position at UK's Manchester Triathlon Competition in 1994.
